Rain delays start of second day at the Gabba

Rain delays start of day two

The start of day two of the opening Test match between Australia and South Africa has been delayed because of heavy rainfall in Brisbane.

It is past lunch time at the Gabba but the steady rainfall means that the players are unable to take to the field.

South Africa ended day one on 255-2 after an unbeaten stand of 136 from Hashim Amla and Jacques Kallis.

Amla is unbeaten on 90 runs, while Kallis is not out on 84.
