Kallis retires from international cricket

South Africa all-rounder Jacques Kallis has retired from all international cricket.

The 38-year-old, who stepped down from Test cricket back in December, is widely regarded as one of the greatest cricketers of all time.

Kallis is the third-highest scorer of Test runs in history with 13,289 to his name. Only India's Sachin Tendulkar and Australia's Ricky Ponting have been more prolific in the long form of the game.

He is also second in the list of the highest number of Test centuries made with 45.

Kallis's prowess with the ball was equally impressive thanks to a combined total of 565 wickets in both Test and one-day international matches.
