Mohammad Tauqir: UAE "couldn't cope" with India

UAE captain Mohammad Tauqir admits that his side could not "cope" with India's bowling in their nine-wicket defeat at the Cricket World Cup.

UAE captain Mohammad Tauqir has admitted that his side "couldn't cope" against India at the Cricket World Cup earlier today.

The defending champions bowled out their opponents, who are in the tournament for the first time since 1996, for 102, the lowest total so far in the competition.

Tauqir told BBC Sport: "We were outplayed by the Indian bowling, because what we got was not a par score on this wicket.

"We should have scored 200 plus but Ashwin bowled brilliantly and we couldn't cope."

The nine-wicket defeat leaves the UAE sixth in the Pool B standings.
