Pakistan reply with 50-1 on day one of their first Test against England at Lord's after bowling out their opponents for 184.

England have kicked off their summer campaign in a disappointing manner as they were bowled out for 184 by Pakistan on day one of their first Test at Lord's.

The tourists responded with 50 runs of their own thanks to Azhar Ali and Haris Sohail, ending the opening session on 50-1.

Having won the toss, the hosts batted first and reached 149-5 - Alastair Cook top scoring with 70 before being sent packing by Mohammad Amir.

England lost their last five wickets for 16 runs, though, as Stokes, Jos Butler, Dominic Bess, Stuart Broad and Mark Wood all fell victim to Mohammad Abbas (4-23 for the day) and Hasan Ali (4-51).

Ali (18*) and Sohail (21) then linked up, with the latter dropped on 16 by Ben Stokes, but England did manage to take the wicket of Misbah-ul-Haq.
