Chris Woakes pins Pakistan back on day three at Lord's

Pakistan make it to stumps on day three of the first Test against England at 214-8, despite Chris Woakes claiming his maiden 10-wicket haul.

Chris Woakes claimed his maiden 10-wicket haul to help England limit Pakistan's lead on the third day of the first Test at Lord's.

The all-rounder, who ended the first innings boasting figures of 6-70, took five wickets for 31 runs on Saturday as the tourists stretched their lead to 281.

Woakes becomes the first England bowler to take five or more wickets in each innings of a Test at Lord's since 1978 when Ian Botham did likewise, but it was ultimately not enough to hold the opposition back.

Pakistan made it to stumps at 214-8, with Asad Shafiq (49), Sarfraz Ahmed (45) and Yasir Shah (30) piling on the runs to leave the Green Shirts in a comfortable position heading into day four
