England manage to add just 26 runs to their overnight total in an interrupted first session on day five of the second Test against Sri Lanka.

England managed to add just 26 runs to their overnight total in an interrupted first session on day five of the second Test against Sri Lanka.

After collapsing to 57-5 last night, Joe Root and Moeen Ali remain at the crease, 267 runs behind Sri Lanka's total.

Both Root and Ali are going about their business cautiously, scoring nine and 22 off 58 and 65 balls respectively.

Lunch was taken half an hour early because of light rain at Headingley.

The hosts will have to either bat out the remainder of the day to draw the second Test and series, or score the required 267 and win the two-Test encounter. Sri Lanka need to take five wickets to claim victory.
