England beat West Indies by ten wickets

England have beaten the West Indies by ten wickets in their Twenty20 international at the Oval.

Dwayne Smith [33] and Johnson Charles [36] looked to have given the visitors a good start, but after succumbing to the bowling of Samit Patel, more wickets quickly followed.

Danza Hyatt made a knock of 28, but the rest of the West Indies batting order failed to make double figures as Ravi Bopara claimed 4-10, the best bowling figures ever by an Englishman in Twenty20 internationals.

Chasing a score of 126, England openers Craig Kieswetter [58] and Alex Hales [62] were rarely troubled by the tourists' bowling attack and the duo reached their target with 4.4 overs remaining.

The second Twenty20 international between the two sides takes place on Sunday.
