Michael Vaughan tells ECB to stop "over-complicating" cricket

Former England captain Michael Vaughan appears to question the ECB after their latest decision to snub Kevin Pietersen.

Former England captain Michael Vaughan appears to have urged the ECB to stop "over-complicating" cricket after they reportedly rejected Kevin Pietersen again.

Newly-appointed director of England cricket Andrew Strauss is believed to have held a meeting with Pietersen on Monday to inform him that he is unlikely to play international cricket again.

Talks are believed to have been held just hours after the batsman scored an unbeaten triple century for Surrey at The Oval.

Vaughan tweeted: "Just pick your best available players and let's stop over complicating sport.... It's a game of Cricket .. Nothing more Nothing less... Disappointed ..."

Vaughan was thought to be a contender for the new role at the ECB, but appears to have been overlooked.
