Graeme Swann expects England to return to their best form following an incosistent winter tour.

Graeme Swann has claimed that England are ready to begin playing their best cricket again following a difficult winter tour of Asia.

England suffered a series loss to Pakistan in the United Arab Emirates before earning a tough draw during their series against Sri Lanka.

However, Swann believes that the world number one Test side are ready to return to their best form ahead of a summer which will include Tests against both West Indies and South Africa.

The spinner told Sky Sports News: "The bar of expectation is so high with our performances over the last couple of years that you have got to take the rough with the smooth.

"We have got to take that on the chin and move on. When we have been scoring five, six, seven hundred every time we bat to all of a sudden go 150, 80 all out, it is going to raise a few eyebrows. But luckily we have stayed together as a team and I think we are through the worst of it."

Swann is currently ranked as the fourth best Test bowler in the world by the ICC.
