Sri Lanka, England reduced to 35-over match after rain delay

The third one-day international between Sri Lanka and England is reduced to 35 overs after a lengthy rain delay in Hambantota.

Sri Lanka and England will play a 35-over match in Hambantota after rain caused a lengthy delay at the start of the third one-day international.

The hosts will return to bat on 6-1 at 12.45pm GMT, with Tillakaratne Dilshan (6 not out) and Kumar Sangakkara leading the attack.

The 50-over contest has been reduced to 35, with a seven-over Powerplay and a four-over batting Powerplay, while five bowlers can bowl a maximum of seven overs each.

England trail the series 2-0.
