Reece Topley out for six to eight weeks

England bowler Reece Topley has been ruled out for six to eight weeks with a broken hand.

The 22-year-old suffered the injury after being hit on the hand by a bouncer from Boyd Rankin on his county debut for Hampshire.

The bowler, who joined Hampshire from Essex last September, was ruled out of the rest of the match against Warwickshire on Monday, but it has now been confirmed that he could be on the sidelines for two months.

Via Hampshire's official Twitter page, a statement read: "A hand specialist has confirmed that @reece_topley has sustained a fractured hand and will be out for 6-8 weeks."

Topley was part of the England squad that reached the final of the World Twenty20 in India.
