Matt Prior believes Test cricket is still the ultimate form for the majority of players.

England wicketkeeper Matt Prior believes that Test cricket is still the ultimate form of the game but admits that he worries slightly for its future.

Prior has been a key figure in England's rise to the top of the Test rankings and was part of the side who recorded Ashes victory in Australia in the winter.

"I think Test cricket is the ultimate form of the game and needs to be supported and followed as much as the other forms," he said.

"We're lucky in England that we get a very good following and people love Test cricket and want to come and watch the Test side perform.

"I think if we're not careful it will get overtaken, although having said that I still think Test cricket is classed amongst the players as the top form of cricket."

Prior made his Test debut against the West Indies in 2007 and has gone on to win 47 caps for England.
