Play is abandoned due to heavy rain after tea on day four of the second Test between England and New Zealand.

Play between England and New Zealand on day four was abandoned after tea due to heavy rain in Wellington.

The whole of the afternoon session was wiped out due to heavy rainfall, however, the skies brightened enough for the players to return after tea.

Six overs of play were possible before the rain returned and the Kiwis managed to advance themselves onto 162-2 when the umpires called off play for the day.

Batsmen Kane Williamson and Ross Taylor will return to the crease tomorrow unbeaten on 55 and 41 respectively, but the Kiwis still trail England's first innings score by 49 runs.
