Kevin Pietersen: 'I would do anything to play for England again'

Kevin Pietersen admits that he would love to play for England again despite being told by the ECB that he had no future with the team in February.

Kevin Pietersen has reiterated that he would do "anything" to play for England again.

The 34-year-old was told by the ECB in February that he would not be considered for selection in the future in the fallout of the whitewash loss to Australia in the Ashes.

Pietersen has hit out at the ECB, former coach Andy Flower and Matt Prior for the poor environment in the dressing room and setup at international level in his autobiography this week.

Despite these claims, the batsman is adamant that he would play for England again if the offer was made to him.

He told talkSPORT: "I would do anything [to play for England again]. I'm open to anything.

"I don't live thinking I'm going to play another game for England and I don't live thinking I'm not going to play another game for England.

"I'm very happy. I've got so many amazing things going on in my life right now but I would make room for England in my life."

Pietersen scored 8,181 runs for England in 104 Test appearances.
