England suffered a defeat in their first home series of the summer, losing 1-0 to Sri Lanka earlier this year.
The India batsman told Sky Sports News: "They know exactly what is going on in their heads, we can't really comment on that. But as far as our team is concerned, we have prepared really well. We have some discipline, some ideas in mind that we want to execute when we go onto the field.
"And we just want to focus on that, we don't really want to think what England are feeling right now because, even if they are playing at their best and we play good cricket, it will be a competitive series.
"So we will have to wait and watch what their approach is like but as far as we are concerned, we want to stick to what we want to do in this series and not really focus on anything else."
The first Test gets underway at Trent Bridge on Wednesday.
