Ian Bell scores 50th first-class century of career in Warwickshire county game

England batsman Ian Bell scores his 50th first-class century while playing in the County Championship for Warwickshire.

England batsman Ian Bell has scored the 50th first-class century of his career during a County Championship game for Warwickshire.

The 33-year-old struggled in the recent two-Test series against New Zealand, but he impressed by bringing up his first century since the opening Test against the West Indies in April.

The right-handed batsman began the day on 46, with the Bears on 101-4 at New Road, chasing down Worcestershire's innings total of 243.

Bell and Rikki Clarke have put on 121 runs for the sixth wicket.
