England to name Steve Davies in Test side

Steve Davies is expected to be named in England's side to face Pakistan next month for a Test series in Dubai.

The 25-year-old wicketkeeper missed out on the World Cup following a late snub by the national side, but could get his chance to prove his worth as Matt Prior's second-in-command, according to the Daily Mail.

The Surrey cricketer was included in England's win over Australia in the Ashes this summer.

The national Test side will face Pakistan for the first time since three of their players were jailed for corruption in the spot-fixing scandal.
