West Indies win toss ahead of first Test with England

England to bat first after losing toss

West Indies have won the toss and elected to bowl first in the first Test match with England in Antigua.

England skipper Alastair Cook called incorrectly, but despite losing the toss, the opening batsman revealed that he would have opted to bat first anyway.

Fast bowler James Anderson makes his 100th Test appearance for England, while Jonathan Trott returns to the five-day arena after a spell away from the squad.

All-rounder Ben Stokes and spinner James Tredwell have also been handed a start in the opening match of the three-Test series.

West Indies: Smith, Brathwaite, Bravo, Samuels, Chanderpaul, Blackwood, Ramdin, Holder, Taylor, Roach, Benn

England: Cook, Trott, Ballance, Bell, Root, Stokes, Buttler, Jordan, Broad, Tredwell, Anderson
