The West Indies score 179 in the first innings of their T20 World Cup match against England.

England have been set a target of 180 runs for victory by the West Indies in their super eight match at the Twenty20 World Cup.

Chris Gayle (58) and Johnson Charles (84) were in blistering form and gave the Windies an early platform to build on.

Graham Swann took the crucial wicket of Gayle after 11 overs thanks to a catch from Steven Finn.

Stuart Broad also dismissed Marlon Samuels and Darren Sammy to give England a fighting chance of chasing down a decent total.

The West Indies finished with a total of 179 for 5 to give England a fighting chance of starting the super eights with a victory.
