England fined for slow over rate in fourth ODI against Sri Lanka

England are fined again for a slow over rate during their seven-match series with Sri Lanka.

England have been fined for a slow over rate during today's fourth one-day international against Sri Lanka.

The punishment comes just three days after captain Alastair Cook was himself suspended having committed the same offence in the third ODI.

ICC match referee David Boon imposed the fine after Eoin Morgan's side was ruled to be one over short of their target when time allowances were taken into consideration.

Morgan will receive a one-match suspension should he be found guilty in the next 12 months of one more minor over rate offence in ODIs when acting as captain, while the England team will be docked 10% of their match fee.

Sri Lanka hold a 3-1 lead in the seven-match ODI series following today's six-wicket victory in Colombo.
