Buttler expected to be fit for ODI series

England wicketkeeper Jos Buttler is expected to be fit for the one-day international series against Pakistan after recovering from a finger injury.

The 25-year-old was replaced by Jonny Bairstow in Sunday's warm-up game in Hong Kong after damaging the ring finger on his right hand, plunging his availability for the series into doubt.

However, according to Sky Sports News, England's medical staff are confident that Buttler will be fit for the contest after he took part in drills with specialist coach Bruce French.

The four-match series will get underway at the Sheikh Zayed Cricket Stadium on Tuesday.
