Moeen Ali talks up England's World Cup chances

England all-rounder Moeen Ali says that his team are capable of winning next year's one-day international World Cup.

Moeen Ali has insisted that England do have a chance of winning the World Cup next year.

Many former players and pundits, including Michael Holding, have played down England's hopes of claiming the trophy in Australia and New Zealand.

However, all-rounder Ali has tipped his side to surprise some of the critics, particularly with the condition of the Australian pitches in mind.

"Obviously I disagree with Michael Holding. We have a good chance. We've got some good players and Australia will suit us with their type of wickets more than people think," he told the London Evening Standard.

England begin their campaign against co-hosts Australia on Saturday, February 14.
