Graeme Swann insists that England will not let up for the fourth Test against India despite already securing a series victory.

Graeme Swann has insisted that England will not ease up during the fourth Test against India.

Hosts England ensured that they would become the number one Test team in the world at the end of the series after going 3-0 up with a victory at Edgbaston on Saturday.

Despite wrapping up the series early, spin bowler Swann has warned India that England will maintain the same intensity level for the final Test at the Oval.

"It's a nice feeling, but it's certainly not something we've been focusing on," the 32-year-old told Sky Sports News.

"We said before the series that it wouldn't matter if we got to number one in the world, it's finishing off the series that is the most important thing. Come Thursday, that is what we'll be looking to do at the Oval.

"We've played some exceptional Test cricket in the last 18 to 24 months and it would be a shame if we ruined it all by just trying to cruise through this game."

Swann is currently ranked number one in the ICC one-day bowling rankings.
