Debutant Jonathan Bairstow impressed one-day captain Alastair Cook with his match-winning performance against England yesterday.

One-day captain Alastair Cook believes that debutant Jonathan Bairstow could have a big future with England.

The skipper was impressed with the 21-year-old as he hit 40 runs off 21 balls to lead England to victory over India yesterday evening.

"I've never seen an entrance into internationals like it," Cook said.

"To go out without fear and play with such skill. We might have found one.

"It's hard not to get too carried away but that was an unbelievable knock. I can't praise that enough."

England's win yesterday rounded off a 3-0 series victory over the touring Indians.
