Graeme Swann challenges England to silence critics

Swann: 'England can silence critics'

Graeme Swann has claimed that England have the opportunity to silence their doubters when they meet Bangladesh in a crucial World Cup match on Monday.

England will be unable to reach the quarter-finals if they fail to beat their Pool A rivals, and Swann believes it is the team's opportunity to prove they can still compete with the favourites at the tournament.

"This is their chance to really put their foot on the opposition and stamp all over them," the former England spinner told BBC Sport.

"If you're an England fan, this is the biggest game of this World Cup.

"This is their chance to say, 'We're in this, we're for real, we've got a chance of progressing through to the quarter-finals.'"

England have lost three of their four Pool A games heading into the match at the Adelaide Oval.
