Eoin Morgan bemoans "poor" fielding, bowling

England captain Eoin Morgan has conceded that his side were not good enough with either the ball in hand or out in the field during their 111-run defeat at the hands of Australia earlier today.

In the last 10 overs of the World Cup opener in Melbourne, the Aussies piled on over 100 runs to their score, while Aaron Finch, who made 135, was dropped by Chris Woakes in the first over.

Speaking after the contest, the skipper said: "Our fielding was poor and our death bowling not on target at times. We started a bit slow and a bit cold, which is obviously a bit disappointing."

Next up for Morgan's men is a clash against New Zealand on Friday.
