Stuart Broad hails dominant England display

Stuart Broad admits to being "really happy" with England's showing on day four of the first Ashes Test against Australia in Cardiff.

England bowler Stuart Broad has admitted that his side's storming victory over Australia has left each player feeling "proud".

The Three Lions took all ten of the Aussies' wickets on day four to secure a 169-run win at the SWALEC Stadium.

A strong bowling display, which included Broad taking the wicket of three opposition players, was enough for England to earn a 1-0 series lead in The Ashes.

"We're really happy," Broad told Sky Sports News. "It's always hard work, especially on a wicket where you had to run in on and hit the pitch hard to get anything out of it. But a four-day win by 169 runs - it was a really good performance. There are a lot of proud players up there."

The second Test is scheduled to get underway at Lord's on Thursday morning.
