Former Australia captain Ricky Ponting has scored a century for Surrey in his final first-class match as a professional cricketer.

In the County Championship Division One clash against Nottinghamshire at The Oval, Ponting helped steady Surrey's second innings to guide them past Notts's first-innings score of 410.

The 38-year-old took 182 balls and 237 minutes to reach his century, which was his second for the county since joining them at the start of the season.
