Cricket Australia confirm that captain Michael Clarke will play no part in Wednesday's ICC Champions Trophy match against New Zealand.

Australia captain Michael Clarke has been ruled out of his nation's second ICC Champions Trophy clash due to a back injury.

The 32-year-old will play no part in tomorrow's match against New Zealand as he continues to struggle with a lower back problem.

It was suggested that the batsman, who has been seeking treatment in London, would be unavailable for the match after he missed yesterday's net session.

Clarke was also absent for Australia's opening defeat to England.
