Australia captain Michael Clarke disappointed by David Warner remarks

Clarke disappointed by Warner comments

Australia captain Michael Clarke has criticised David Warner for comments that he made after the side's 231-run defeat to South Africa in the second Test in Port Elizabeth.

The opening batsman was fined 15% of his match fee after he suggested that South African wicketkeeper AB de Villiers may have tampered with the ball during the Test match to encourage reverse swing.

"I've made it very clear to David how disappointed I was, and am, with his comments," Clarke told Sport24.

"At the appropriate time I'll certainly catch up with (South African captain) Graeme (Smith) and make it clear how I feel about it. Now it's about playing cricket."

The third Test begins at Newlands on Saturday.
