Mitchell Starc aiming to make life difficult for England in the Ashes

Australia bowler Mitchell Starc is aiming to continue the work of Mitchell Johnson and Ryan Harris by making life hard for England in the Ashes.

Australia bowler Mitchell Starc has declared that he is hopeful he can continue the work of Mitchell Johnson and Ryan Harris in making life difficult for English batsmen.

The duo tormented Alastair Cook's men in their 5-0 whitewash victory in the last Ashes series, although Harris will not get the opportunity this time around after announcing his retirement from the game.

However, Starc believes that he and Josh Hazlewood are more than capable of providing the same problems for the England batting lineup.

Starc told reporters: "It's always nice to see batsmen jumping about. I definitely enjoyed that 5-0 series back home when Mitch and Ryano were making them jump around, so hopefully I can do the same thing.

"Josh and I can both push it through at a decent pace, so you have got no rest for the batsmen there. We will definitely be coming hard at all their guys, especially the tail."

The first Test begins on Wednesday at Sophia Gardens in Cardiff.
