Sean McGoldrick: "There is no pressure on me"

Wales boxer Sean McGoldrick says that there is "no pressure" on his shoulders to win gold at this summer's Commonwealth Games.

Wales boxer Sean McGoldrick has insisted that there is "no pressure" on him to win gold at this summer's Commonwealth Games.

The 22-year-old won gold in Delhi four years ago and is widely considered as the favourite to secure the top medal once more this time around.

However, McGoldrick has praised the strength of his weight category and also said that he is continually working on improving himself.

"I am not the quickest on my feet, I am the first to admit that, but I am working on it. There is plenty for me to work on as a fighter," he told reporters.

"Whatever it takes, I will find a way to win. There is no pressure on me. It is a very tough weight category, everyone knows that, but I will do my best."

McGoldrick could face Northern Ireland's Michael Conlan in the semi-finals.
