Fazliddin Gaibnazarov rises to see off Yhyacinthe Mewoli Abdon

Uzbekistan's Fazliddin Gaibnazarov has recorded an 11-6 victory over Yhyacinthe Mewoli Abdon of the Cameroon.

A tight first round ended with the judges scoring the bout evenly, but Gaibnazarov started to get on top midway through the second.

The Uzbek bobbed in and out of range, tempting Mewoli into an attack before dodging and countering.

Those tactics proved fruitful for Gaibnazarov, who took a three-point advantage into the final round.

Mewoli failed to effectively test Gaibnazarov in the decider and the Uzbek passed safely into the next round.
