Joshua Buatsi felt he did enough

Team GB boxer Joshua Buatsi believes that he deserved to beat Azerbaijan's Teymur Mammadov during their bout at the 2015 European Games.

Team GB boxer Joshua Buatsi has said that he believes he "controlled the fight" against Teymur Mammadov in their last-32 clash at the 2015 European Games on Thursday.

Buatsi impressed during the outing in Baku, but home favourite Mammadov was handed the victory in front of a vocal Azerbaijani support.

The 22-year-old Brit also admitted that Mammadov's size was a problem, with the bronze medallist at the 2012 Olympics standing at 6'5".

"He was massive at the weight, but I felt that I controlled the fight and hit him with the more meaningful shots. It was competitive, but I felt that I nicked it," Buatsi told reporters.

Buatsi is one of the newer members of Team GB's podium squad.
