David Haye knocks Dereck Chisora out inside five rounds at Upton Park in the most highly-anticipated grudge match of the year.

David Haye has claimed victory over Dereck Chisora with a fifth-round knockout in the highly-anticipated grudge match at Upton Park.

Chisora went on the offensive early on and landed the first punch of any merit with a stinging left hook early in the first.

Haye began cautiously and, with Chisora bobbing and weaving in front of him, the former heavyweight champion of the world kept his distance and waited for the perfect opportunity to strike.

Despite looking the more assured fighter, Haye was the first to stagger as Chisora worried him at the end of the third with a thunderous left hand.

In an explosive fourth round, both fighters exchanged several powerful punches with Haye looking the more dangerous man.

Haye then ended the bout in emphatic style during the next round as the 31-year-old sent his opponent to the canvas twice within a matter of moments.

With Chisora looking groggy, referee Luis Pabon stopped the fight with 23 seconds of round five remaining.

Chisora, who had never previously been knocked down during his professional career, applauded Haye before the pair embraced.
