Andre Ward pulls out of fight against Carl Froch due to an injury he suffered in training.

Carl Froch's fight against Andre Ward in the World Super Six showdown has been put on hold after the American super middleweight was forced to pull out with an injury.

The fight, which was due to take place in Atlantic City on October 29, will be put back to a later date after Ward suffered a cut during a sparring session.

The 27-year-old wrote on Twitter: "Bad News: I sustained a cut in sparring a few hours ago...flew to LA to see the Doc. I got 7 stitches. I will let you know the new date soon.”

British boxer Froch, who has 28 wins under his belt, will have to wait for a new date to be announced.
