Stephen Smith to feature in world title eliminator

British super-featherweight Stephen Smith will face Devis Boschiero in a final eliminator for the IBF title in Liverpool next month.

Smith has endured a frustrating 15 months since winning the WBC silver belt last May, but he will be given his opportunity to move in line for a world title shot against his Italian opponent on September 19.

The 34-year-old is a former European champion, while in 2011, he only missed out on winning the WBC strap against Takahiro Ao on a split decision.

The bill will also include the British lightweight title bout between Scott Cardle and Gary Buckland.
