Pacquiao thanks Mayweather at weigh-in

Manny Pacquiao has revealed that thanked Floyd Mayweather Jr for agreeing to fight him when the men met at Friday's weigh-in in Las Vegas.

A reported 10,000 fans were at the MGM Grand to see the two fighters, with Mayweather coming in 1lb heavier than the Filipino, who admitted that he did offer his thanks to the American on stage.

"Yes, thank you. Thanking him for the fans, that the fight is going to happen," the 36-year-old is quoted as saying by Sky Sports News.

"I've been fighting bigger guys like [Oscar] De la Hoya and [Antoni] Margarito. It doesn't matter to me."

Reports on Friday suggested that Pacquiao was planning to donate half of his earnings from the fight to charity.
