Pacquiao: 'I will not retire'

Former eight-division world champion Manny Pacquiao has insisted that he will not retire from boxing despite losing to Juan Manuel Marquez at the weekend.

The 33-year-old was knocked out in the sixth round of the contest in Las Vegas, leading to suggestions that he would announce his retirement.

However, after admitting that he had been "careless" during the fight, he told reporters: "I'm looking forward to a rest and then I'll be back to fight."

His mother Dionisia and wife Jinkee both revealed that they wanted the Filipino to retire from the sport.
