Manny Pacquiao admits he was "careless"

Manny Pacquiao has admitted that he got "careless" after he was knocked out by Juan Manuel Marquez in the early hours of Sunday morning.

The Filipino fighter was put on the canvas in the sixth round of the clash and later visited a hospital for a CAT scan.

"I was just starting to feel confident and then I got careless," said Pacquiao.

"I never expected that punch. I got hit by a punch I didn't see. I thought I was getting him in the last couple of rounds but then I got hit by a strong punch."

The MGM Grand fight was the fourth time the pair have collided.
