Lewis: 'I'd stop Haye in two'

Former heavyweight champion Lennox Lewis has claimed that he would have defeated David Haye in two rounds if the pair had ever met in the ring.

Lewis is a three-time heavyweight champion, who beat the likes of Mike Tyson, Evander Holyfield and Vitali Klitschko during a dominant reign at the top, but he believes that Haye would not have been considered a top heavyweight if he had fought him.

Lewis told the Daily Mail: "Wladimir and Vitali [Klitschko] are the only A-class heavyweights. The best of the rest are B-class. We don't know which of those can make the leap. David Haye was so disappointing against Wladimir, which was sad.

"I beat Vitali in a great fight when we were both in our prime. To be honest, David might have lasted a couple of rounds with me if he was lucky. Heavyweight championship boxing is now a game for giants."

Haye recently returned to the ring to defeat Dereck Chisora in five rounds.
