Amir Khan says that he would not make the same mistakes against Danny Garcia if he was given another chance to fight the American.

British boxer Amir Khan has vowed to not make the same mistakes if he is granted a rematch with Danny Garcia.

The undefeated American knocked out the 26-year-old inside four rounds when they met in July to unify the light-welterweight division.

The Bolton fighter recently defeated Carlos Molina in his first bout since losing to Garcia, and Khan has once again turned his attention to his past conqueror.

"I was beating [Garcia] convincingly and then got caught with a shot - I think I was beating him more easily for the first two rounds than I was Molina," said Khan.

"I believe in myself in that fight. I got caught by a shot I shouldn't have been caught by. Maybe I was too confident, thinking I was untouchable and that no-one could hurt me.

"But it is all about regrouping myself and I will be back stronger now. My new trainer is going to help me a lot and I can already see a change in my style. We are not going to make these mistakes again and we are not going to be giving opponents a chance now."

Garcia has previously stated that he would be willing to offer Khan a rematch.
