Amir Khan vows to make no mistakes in his rematch against Lamont Peterson.

Amir Khan has vowed to leave nothing to chance as he prepares for his rematch against Lamont Peterson.

The Bolton fighter lost his WBA Super and IBF light-welterweight titles to the American on a controversial decision in December.

Khan, an Olympic silver medallist, believes that he came in at the wrong weight for the bout and has promised not to make the same mistake again.

"In boxing you learn after each fight and you get better," said the 25-year-old. "If you lose you have to look for any mistakes and put them right.

"I made the weight wrong for the fight and that is something I will never do in the future because it meant that I was not as strong as I wanted to be.

"I have sat with my team and we have gone over every part of that fight and making the weight will never be an issue again. I still think that I did enough to win the first fight but this time I won't make any mistakes."

The rematch will take place on May 19 at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas.
