British welterweight Amir Khan tweets a good luck message to Floyd Mayweather Jr and Manny Pacquiao after it is announced that the mega-fight will happen in May.

British welterweight Amir Khan has admitted that the fight between Floyd Mayweather Jr and Manny Pacquiao is 'what the world had been waiting for'.

Khan had been in the running to face either fighter when he next steps into the ring in May, but after it was announced that the most lucrative match in the history of boxing would take place on May 2 in Las Vegas, the 28-year-old accepted that the fight needed to be made.

Khan is expected to announce his next fight in the coming weeks, with the likes of Miguel Cotto and Timothy Bradley likely to be in the running.
