Amir Khan gives Floyd Mayweather Jr five days to decide fight

Amir Khan reveals that he has given Floyd Mayweather Jr five days to decide whether to fight the Brit or not as he is growing impatient.

Amir Khan has admitted that he is growing frustrated with Floyd Mayweather Jr's reluctance to agree a deal to fight the Bolton-born boxer.

The 28-year-old believed that securing a comfortable victory over Devon Alexander in Las Vegas last month would help his chances of facing the world's best fighter.

However, Mayweather, who is dubbed as the 'money man', is yet to negotiate a deal and Khan has insisted that a final call needs to be made this week.

"I want to fight in May and I want the Mayweather fight but it's not getting any closer," Khan told the Daily Mail.

"There is a lot of money in a fight with me, not just in America, but he's trying to avoid me. He's avoiding two names in boxing, Manny Pacquiao and Amir Khan.

"It's a waiting game, I've given his team five days. I need to know this week because I need to start training."

Mayweather is yet to be beaten in his professional career.
