Danny Garcia, Erik Morales set for rematch in October

Amir Khan hopes for a December rematch with Danny Garcia have been dented after the American opted to face Erik Morales in October.

Khan was hoping to quickly avenge his fourth-round TKO defeat by Garcia, during which the 24-year-old floored Khan three times during their contest.

However, the Bolton fighter will now have to look at alternative options after Garcia and Morales was booked for October 20 in Brooklyn, New York.

Garcia and Morales will be squaring up for the second time, with Garcia gaining an unanimous decision win in the first bout in March.
