Anthony Joshua: 'I'm ready to fight for 12 rounds'

Anthony Joshua insists that he is ready for a 12-round challenge ahead of his bout with Denis Bakhtov.

Anthony Joshua has insisted that he is fully prepared for the challenge of lasting 12 rounds ahead of his bout with Denis Bakhtov.

No fighter has forced Joshua past three rounds in any of his eight professional bouts, but he believes that his Russian rival poses a different threat at the O2 Arena on Saturday.

"Bakhtov is a durable guy, it's a WBC international title so remember he is coming to win as well," the Olympic champion told Sky Sports News.

"These are the type of opponents Eddie (Hearn) and my manager are putting me in with now, because they expect them to give me rounds.

"If the stoppage comes I won't hesitate to take them out, but I won't look for it and get caught with silly shots."

Promoter Hearn has suggested that Joshua could face former world champion David Haye next year.
