Anthony Joshua: 'Eric Molina will be a good challenge'

Anthony Joshua predicts that Eric Molina will be "a good challenge" when the two meet for the IBF heavyweight title in Manchester on December 10.

Anthony Joshua has described Eric Molina as the toughest opponent available to him ahead of his next scheduled outing on December 10.

Joshua was linked with fights against the likes of Kubrat Pulev and David Price, but despite a mixed reception for the bout at the Manchester Arena, the IBF heavyweight champion is expecting "a good challenge" from the American.

The Olympic gold medallist told Sky Sports News: "When I look at it, I thought he was the toughest out of the few so that's a good challenge for myself. That's the one I have to focus on. I always knew I was going to have someone who was game.

"We're competing for a championship belt so everyone ups their levels by 50-60 per cent. The people I've seen time and time again are not the people I am going to face.

"So I have to put Klitschko or David Price or whoever was in the pecking order aside, and focus on what is in front of me."

Molina's previous challenge for a world title ended in a ninth-round stoppage defeat to WBC champion Deontay Wilder.
