Stuart Hall: 'Randy Caballero will underestimate me'

Hall: 'Caballero will underestimate me'

British bantamweight Stuart Hall has predicted that his IBF title showdown with Randy Caballero later this year will be "a war".

Hall lost his IBF strap in June to Paul Butler, but after the new champion vacated the title to return to super-flyweight, the North-East fighter was given the opportunity to regain the belt.

Caballaro, an American who hasn't suffered defeat in 21 fights, will go into the bout as the favourite, but Hall is confident that he can become a two-time world champion in the space of a year.

The 34-year-old told World Boxing News: "I'm confident. He comes to fight and it's going to be an easier night for me, I think. I had to chase Paul Butler at times and it was hard to nail him down, but Caballero will be there.

"I think that they will underestimate me, because people do, but I will be more than ready for him. I hope that he brings his 'A' game because it's going to be a great fight. It's going to be a war."

No date has been announced for the fight but it is likely to take place at the Metro Arena in Newcastle.
