George Groves is intent on leaving current promoter Frank Warren to join Matchroom Boxing, according to reports.

Commonwealth super-middleweight champion George Groves has reportedly decided to join Eddie Hearn's promotional stable at Matchroom Boxing.

Groves has been with current promoter Frank Warren for his last three fights but wants a move to enhance his quest for a world title, according to The Sun.

The 24-year-old is unbeaten in 16 professional contests, including impressive domestic victories over James DeGale, Kenny Anderson and Paul Smith.

The 'Saint' is due to box for the European crown on Warren's next show at Wembley Arena on March 16 against Mouhamed Ali Ndiaye.

Matchroom have scheduled a press conference for Monday morning to announce a major new addition to their ranks, fuelling speculation that Groves has signed with Hearn.
